Frequently Asked Questions

Does MyTapri need internet?

No. MyTapri works 100% offline. All your data is stored on your phone. You don't need internet to create sales, track customers, or view reports.

Is MyTapri really free?

Yes, completely free. No hidden charges, no premium plans, no subscription. The app shows ads to support development.

Where is my data stored?

All your data (customers, sales, payments) is stored only on your phone. We don't have any server that stores your data. Your hisaab stays with you.

How do I backup my data?

Go to More > Settings > Backup. Tap "Export" to save your data as a ZIP file. You can save it to your phone or share via WhatsApp/email. To restore, tap "Import" and select the ZIP file.

I got a new phone. How do I transfer data?

  1. On your old phone: Go to Settings > Backup > Export
  2. Share the ZIP file to your new phone (via WhatsApp, email, or file transfer)
  3. On your new phone: Install MyTapri > Settings > Backup > Import
  4. Select the ZIP file — your data will be restored

Can I use MyTapri in Hindi?

Yes! MyTapri supports 10 Indian languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. The app auto-detects your phone's language. You can also change it manually in Settings > Language.

How do I send WhatsApp reminders?

Open a customer's khata (ledger) > Tap "Remind" > Choose a message template > The message opens in WhatsApp ready to send. The customer must have WhatsApp installed.

I accidentally deleted a sale. Can I undo it?

Currently, deleted sales cannot be recovered. We recommend using the Backup feature regularly. A future update will add an undo feature.

The app is showing in the wrong language

Go to More > Settings > Language and select your preferred language. The app will switch immediately.
