MyTapri ("we", "our", "the app") is built by Tailwebs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the MyTapri mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data You Provide (Stored Locally Only)
The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Shop information: Owner name, store name, phone number
- Customer records: Customer names and phone numbers
- Transaction data: Sale amounts, payment modes, dates, notes
- Frequent items: Item names and prices
- App settings: Language preference, theme settings
1.2 Data Collected Automatically
- Crash reports: Anonymous crash data via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. This does not include personal information.
- Usage analytics: Anonymous app usage data via Mixpanel (screen views, feature usage, session duration). No personal data is linked.
- Advertising data: Google AdMob may collect device identifiers for serving relevant ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Your local data is used solely to provide the app's core functionality (ledger, calculator, reports)
- Crash reports help us identify and fix bugs
- Usage analytics help us understand which features are used most so we can improve the app
- Advertising data is used by Google AdMob to display ads
3. Data Storage and Security
- All business data (customers, sales, payments) is stored locally on your device only
- We do not have any server or cloud database that stores your data
- Your data is protected by your device's built-in security (screen lock, encryption)
- The local database uses encryption for additional protection
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only data shared is:
- Crash reports with Firebase (Google) — anonymous, no personal data
- Usage analytics with Mixpanel — anonymous, no personal data
- Ad data with Google AdMob — device identifiers for ad serving
5. Backup and Export
- You can export your data as a ZIP file at any time from Settings > Backup
- Exported files are saved to your device or shared via apps you choose (WhatsApp, email, etc.)
- We have no access to your exported backup files
6. Your Rights
In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), 2023:
- Right to Access: All your data is on your device — you have full access at all times
- Right to Erasure: Delete the app to remove all local data. Use Settings > Backup to export first if needed
- Right to Correction: Edit any customer, sale, or profile data directly in the app
- Data Portability: Export all data as ZIP via Backup feature
7. Children's Privacy
MyTapri is a business application and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
